CRIMICTIONARY of Forensic Science 1: Personal Identification Techniques

The Glossary of Terms in Personal Identification Techniques, hereafter referred to as the Crimictionary, is a scholarly reference developed to support the academic and professional advancement of criminology students, educators, and practitioners in forensic science. As personal identification remains a cornerstone of criminal investigation and judicial proceedings, this work provides a comprehensive and accessible compilation of essential terminology related to dactyloscopy—the scientific study and classification of fingerprints. This volume aligns with CHED Memorandum Order No. 05, Series of 2018 (Bachelor of Science in Criminology) and CHED Memorandum Order No. 48, Series of 2012 (Bachelor of Forensic Science). Anchored in these competency-based frameworks, the Crimictionary integrates theoretical foundations with practical investigative competencies.
