The Glossary of Terms in Lie Detection Techniques, hereafter referred to as the Crimictionary, is a scholarly compilation of specialized vocabulary used in forensic polygraphy and truth verification. It was developed in response to the growing need for reliable academic resources that strengthen the competence of criminology students in the Philippines, particularly those pursuing forensic science specializations. Recognizing that precision in language is fundamental to investigative accuracy, this work consolidates and standardizes the terminology essential to academic formation, professional readiness, and investigative practice. Forensic polygraphy integrates physiological monitoring, behavioral observation, and psychological principles in assessing truthfulness during investigative and screening procedures. As polygraph examinations continue to play a role in law enforcement, intelligence, and security settings, mastery of its technical language becomes indispensable. Inaccurate or inconsistent terminology may compromise investigative processes, weaken the credibility of findings, and create miscommunication in judicial or administrative contexts. This Crimictionary therefore promotes clarity, consistency, and terminological precision in the discipline of lie detection.
