Fundamentals of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence

One of the most important functions of law enforcement agencies and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation is to conduct criminal investigations and intelligence operations. The investigation and information gathering can obtain precise or in-depth information at a certain location and time, analyze and interpret data pertaining to different crimes, and enable law enforcement to develop proactive responses to crime and other significant policy issues. This book describes different methods, ideas, guidelines, and rules in order to provide effective investigative and intelligence procedures and practices. It can also provide students and readers with an informative background on the development of intelligence and criminal investigation.
