This laboratory course provides students with hands-on experience in the application of chemical principles and toxicological techniques used in forensic investigations. Emphasis is placed on the identification, analysis, handling, and interpretation of chemical evidence such as poisons, drugs of abuse, alcohol, heavy metals, and other toxic substances. Activities also include determination of gunpowder residues, blood identification, glass fractures, and ultraviolet examination. The course also develops competencies in laboratory safety, evidence integrity, ethical practice, and forensic documentation required for criminal investigation and court presentation.
